Barley Hall has once again been taken over by the spirits of York’s past this Halloween. Will you join us as it once again becomes Haunted Hall?

Will You Escape Haunted Hall?

York is one of the most haunted cities in England and some believe it to be the most haunted in Europe. Many people have reported encounters with ghosts or other unexplained events.  Some say Dick Turpin stalks the paths by the rivers. Others claim Lady Alice Peckett can be found at the Golden Fleece. Ghostly music has been heard coming from an empty York Minster. Even our own Barley Hall has had its share of sightings. Staff have been known to see a pale grey lady and the ghost of a small child.

But as Halloween draws nearer, the sightings at Barley Hall are becoming more frequent.  Will you enter this sanctum of spectral horror or will you cower in fear?

Will you escape Haunted Hall?

Haunted Hall: Ghost Hunters

Did you know that York is said to sit on a paranormal nexus, a place where the boundary between our world and the spirit world is at its thinnest? For reasons no one can explain, those boundaries have weakened even further, and the spirits of York’s past have descended upon Barley Hall.

For our guests safety we have temporarily closed Barley Hall to allow our paranormal investigators work to contain the outbreak. Will you be brave enough to join them?

Haunted Hall: Dark Tales

Barley Hall has stood on this site for more than 600 years—plenty of time for whispers, secrets, and restless spirits to seep into its ancient walls.

They say old houses remember the past. Perhaps they do, with their stories lingering in silence… until now. Waiting for someone willing to listen.

Join Edwyrdian Tales for an unforgettable evening of haunting storytelling as the darker chapters of Barley Hall’s past unfold.
